Vintage artwork by Thomas Blinks features two beautiful English Setters out in the field on a hunting trip. The two are relaxing in the tall grass, but keeping an eye on their hunter companions, ready to spring back into action. The British artist, Thomas Blinks (1853-1910) was born in Maidstone, England. He was best known for his hunting, racing and canine artwork. He had no formal art training, although he spent much time studying the anatomy of horses at a local horse auction market. He was particularly good at portraying horses and dogs, with an emphasis on sporting and working dogs. He exhibited at the Royal Academy, and received many portrait commissions from wealthy members of society. This card is blank inside for your own message.
